Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone! Though I am based in Connecticut, you don’t have to be from CT to submit! Anyone is welcome.
-
Head to the Submit tab on this website and fill out the form.

All types of art! Poetry, photography, short fiction, visual art, reviews, playlists, essays, songs, recipes, interviews - whatever you create, I’d love to feature it! In the future, I hope to even include maps, puzzles, and more interactive activities - I’m excited to branch out!
-
You can just include your piece in the initial submission, but I will ask for how you would like to be credited, so you can include that as well if you’d like, along with your instagram handle and/orwebsite, but this is not required.
-
You are welcome to submit as many pieces as you’d like, and as many different types of art as well! For short fiction pieces, I don’t have a set word limit, but you can refer to previous issues to see how long they are. In general, no more than a few pages are preferred!
-
Check out my Instagram bio or the most recent call for submission post for each theme! I encourage everyone to be as creative as possible with each theme - think outside the box, put your own spin on it! It doesn’t have to be super literal.
-
Yes! You can send in individual pieces or make a collage/spread of your submission. Please use 8.5” x 5.5” for the dimensions if you do your own formatting and send it as an image format rather than a PDF.
-
YES PLEASE! More than anything, I still want to feature your work! There are no hard deadlines here. You can always give me a heads up a few days before if you’re planning to submit.
-
I use Google Slides to put it together (it’s that easy) and Mixam for printing! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a printing company.

If you are a featured artist, I will send you a free copy of your issue! Make sure you send me your address. If you are interested in ordering copies, please send me an email or fill out the contact form on the website. I can ship or deliver to you, and the zines are $10 each. I also vend at lots of events in the CT area. Make sure you follow @unmagnoliamag and check out the Upcoming Events tab on the website to stay updated!
